Apple tart, a classic French dessert

La apple tart is rooted in French culinary tradition. Thanks to its simplicity and deliciousness, apple tart has become a must-try.

Apple tarts are seductively versatile: each region and family adds its own personal touch, making them unique and adaptable to all seasons. In autumn, at the height of apple season, it's the perfect comforting family dessert. Few ingredients are needed to make it a delicacy that appeals to young and old alike.

The benefits of acai in an autumn dessert

As fans of acai, at Nossa! we wanted to add a little twist to make the most of the combo of acai and apples. The acai adds a tangy note that balances the sweetness of the lightly caramelized apples.

In addition to adding a lovely purple color to your dessert, acai is rich in antioxidants, fiber and vitamins. As a result, this tart is not only a delicious dessert, but also a healthy one, ideal for ending an autumn meal on a light, original note.

Ideas for apple pie variations!

  • Tarte tatin An upside-down version in which the apples are caramelized before being covered with pastry, then baked upside down. Crisp and melt-in-your-mouth, it's irresistible served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • Apple and almond tart For added crunch, sprinkle the tart base with slivered almonds, or use a frangipane-style almond cream for a richer, more indulgent base.
  • Salted butter caramel apple tart For this tart, pour a drizzle of salted butter caramel over the apples before putting them in the oven. The combination of caramel and baked apples adds an unforgettable gourmet touch.

And of course, these apple pie variations are just as delicious with our homemade acai coulis, made with just two ingredients.
